Chiang Mai temples, sunbathing, special night and Chiang Rai day trip

I have been so lazy recently with blogging so I must say sorry!
After last post a lot has happened in those few days.
So, because we didn't do trekking for 3 days but did 2instead, we had a bit of free time to explore Chiang Mai more than expected. We went to visit all the nice temples and made loads of pictures as usual, Archie jumped into tiny Chinese group picture of course to photobomb them but they ended up  being really happy!:D haha

We usually buy most of our food from street markets.
We managed to find a hotel with a pool and sunbeds for one day when we sunbathed for most of the day time. Everyone we're staring at is like we're crazy sunbathing with that crazy heat!

Yesterday evening we had a really special night as we had our 1,5 year anniversary that we've been officially together and it was an amazing night!;) really special night;)

Today we went to Chiang Rai for one day Tripp and I am so tired now. It was really cool!
We saw the White Temple, went to do a boat ride to the golden triangle and visited Laos.
We also had a chance to go and see the women with long necks that you have probably seen on discovery channel before..
They put the rings on the girl when she is 4-5 years old and start adding more and more  every year until the neck is really long. That is beautiful for them and if you would take it off thru would probably break their necks;/
And we got to hold it- it is soo heavy!!! I don't know how they do it but apparently they get used to it.
Some of them had rings under their knees as well :O
It was really interesting and cool experience to see them.
Now we're gonna go to sleep I am so tired.
Tomorrow flight- Chiang Mai- Bangkok-Phuket
South Thailand Islands here we come!!!
Now the relaxing beach holiday starts;)

Hope all is good!
Love!

Day 6,7 and 8! Sukhothai to Chiang Mai, Elephant trekking

Yesterday day 6 we visited Sukhothai historical park which was next to our hotel and it was amazing!!!
Such nice views and temples! We got so many nice pictures as well.
Then we had food, my favourite here us rice with vegetables -plain but very tasty!!
Then we wanted to go to a gym and when we googled gyms in Sukhothai we only found that one ..
We looked for it for ages and then we finally got there. It was this quite a small box with few pieces of equipment but it was good.
Archie was like a sensation! Everyone wanted to make a picture with him!! It was crazy! They were staring at him training all the time whilst in awe!:D
It was so funny!

Today we took a bus from Sukhothai to Chiang Mai! The bus journey was almost 6 h.
The place looks nice!
We will have more time to explore it in 3 days.
We managed to go to so far the most proper gym we've seen here in Thailand.
Loads of equipment and yeah it was nice!
Then we went to the night market as we needed some things for tomorrow's trekking tour! It started raining so much tho and we had to get our rain coats on- Archie already broke his from the shoulder- what a beast!!
I'm  excited but a bit scared at the same time how the trekking your is gonna be! 2nights /3days!
I'm sure it will be awesome!
I will keep you posted in how it is;)
I won't post anything for 2 days as I probably won't have wifi there.
Wish us luck!
Hope all is good with you!
Lots of love!

So that was the blog post I wrote in my notes yesterday but couldn't post it because of the bad wifi. Today is day 8 and we went elephant trekking and  trekking through the jungle by foot up hills. We also went to see the a waterfall and I had a swim in there as well. The elephant ride was so cool but we felt really sorry for them! They seemed so tired and especially the one that was carrying me and Archie as we both weigh loads plus the trainer was with us on the elephant as well!
We did got some awesome pictures tho but felt sorry whole time:/
Go and check out fb for the pictures:)
But all  the walking up from very steep hills tired us out so much and knowing that next day would be the same was enough for us to decide to  get a ride back and we are in the hotel again.,, so instead of 3 days it was one!:D
It feels so nice to just relax on the bed! Our feet are sooo tired and we will both be sleeping tight today!
Anyway that was today and hope you had an eventful day as well;)
Xxx

Ayutthaya temples and bus journey to Sukhothai 4th and 5th day

Hi everyone!
So, yesterday was our 4th day in Thailand but I swear to god it feels like we have been here at least over a week. Because we do so much and go to different places everyday and our days are filled with activities-the days seem longer and I feel the time spent here has been longer..
That't good tho:)
So in Ayutthaya yesterday we went to see another 3 area of temples and they were all so amazing. We also went to the city market place but didn't get much more than some bananas.
After eating in the hotel we went to the outdoor gym again but this time it was packed! ( remember how last time there was no one there)
All the local people were staring at us whilst they barely sweat whereas we were literally dripping!
We had to be creative with our training and I did most  of my exercises using a bench and some building blocks for arm weights. Archie used bench press for other exercises and leg abductor machine for shoulders.. And of course he took his top off  towards the end of the workout so everyone would stare even more:D
Anyway, next day which is today we got on a bus and faced a 6-7 h journey to Sukhothai where we are now.
Such a long bus journey but what can you do. The hotel is nice, the only thing is once you step into the hotel you have to take the shoes off, so I dont really like if for hygenic reasons.
If you didn't know it yet then in all the temples you have to take your shoes off as well.
Tonight we didn't get to do much but tomorrow we will go to the historic grounds which is literally next to the hotel:)
As for now thats about it, will add some pictures this time as well as the wifi is good.
We will be here for 2nights and then  off to the most polular place in North Thailand -Chiang Mai!!!
There we will go on a trekking tour for 2 nights!!! We're gonna stay somewhere in the jungle or I dont know where and do elephant trekking and swim in watefalls and hike!! Cant wait!;)
Stay tuned!!
Hope you're all great!! Lots of love!
